Time Served: My Days and Nights on Death Row Records | A Memoir
In the annals of hip hop history, few figures loom larger than Suge Knight. As the co-founder and CEO of Death Row Records, Knight was responsible for launching the careers of some of the biggest names in the genre, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac Shakur. But Knight's reign at the top was cut short when he was sentenced to 28 years in prison for racketeering and murder.
In his new memoir, Time Served, Knight tells the story of his rise to power, his time spent on Death Row Records, and his eventual incarceration. The book is a fascinating and unflinching look at one of the most controversial figures in hip hop history.

Knight was born in Compton, California, in 1965. He was a star football player in high school and college, but his dreams of a professional career were cut short by a knee injury. After college, Knight worked as a bodyguard for several celebrities, including Bobby Brown and Vanilla Ice.
In 1991, Knight co-founded Death Row Records with Dr. Dre. The label quickly became one of the most successful in hip hop, thanks to the success of albums by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac Shakur. But Death Row was also plagued by violence, and Knight was often accused of being involved in criminal activity.
In 1996, Knight was convicted of racketeering and murder. He was sentenced to 28 years in prison, and he has been behind bars ever since. In Time Served, Knight tells the story of his life in prison. He writes about the challenges of being incarcerated, the people he has met, and the lessons he has learned.
Time Served is a powerful and moving memoir. It is a story of redemption and resilience, and it offers a unique perspective on one of the most controversial figures in hip hop history.
